CPC Parent Union and PERK cordially invite you to our Third Annual Parents, Not Partisans Summit in Sacramento

Join PERK Advocacy on March 12th and 13th, 2024

California Policy Center Parent Union cordially invites you to our 3rd Annual Parents, Not Partisans Summit in Sacramento. Our theme this year: Who Controls the Classroom? Teachers unions, the education bureaucracy, and radical legislators in Sacramento want to control California classrooms — but ultimate authority lies with parents and the local school boards accountable to them.

The 2024 election has crucial implications for parental rights in public schools. On Day 1 of the Summit, we’ll hear from a lineup of education reform leaders and grassroots strategists on key topics including:

  • Grassroots Mobilization in an Election Year

  • Grassroots Activism at Local School Boards

  • Media Strategies for Parent Advocates

  • Pushing Back against Teachers’ Unions

  • Parental Notification Policies, and more!

On Day 2 of the Summit, we’ll head to the Capitol to visit legislators in their offices, as well as host informative sessions with education policy experts and legislative staff.

RSVP on EventBrite using the promo code PARENTUNION.

AHS is a parent-driven two-day conference committed to addressing all aspects of autism, with presentations covering a wide range of topics related to healing the underlying conditions associated with autism and other neurological disorders. AHS assists parents who seek answers to concerns about their child’s diagnosis, including options for alternative medicine, nutrition, schooling, therapies, and more. Because there is no medical cure for autism, many parents turn to biomedical treatments and therapies. Most of these treatments are low-risk, and some have the potential to be life-changing. AHS can connect you with a wide range of resources, such as doctors, specialists, medical professionals, and other parents who have successfully experienced improvements in their children’s symptoms.

PERK Goes to Washington D.C.

On January 23, 2024, PERK Advocacy traveled to Washington D.C. to relay California Parents’ Voices to Congressmen and Senators on the subject of Education Issues, Parents Rights and what is being seen in our states regarding children.

We personally met with a number of key legislators’ offices to discuss what is happening in California in regards to parents’ rights and education. We also joined Parents Defending Education and other amazing parent advocacy groups from around the country for a Capitol Fly-In for discussions with House of Representatives Education and Judiciary Committee staff, H.E.L.P committee staff, House Speaker Mike Johnson office and a Senate Round Table to voice parents concerns around the nation regarding K-12 education. We ended trip with a reception hosted by Senator Tim Scott in recognition of National School Choice Week.

Thanks to Parents Defending Education for hosting PERK Advocacy in D.C.. We met some amazing Parent Advocacy groups from around the country that were voicing the concerns in their state. We have made some key contacts for future legislative initiatives and to keep your voices heard in our Nation’s Capitol.
