Updates as of September 13, 2022:
Requirement for School Workers and Testing for Healthcare Workers!
Rescinds testing requirement (except as specifically noted to comply with federal requirements) for workers exempt due to medical reasons or religious beliefs.
Facilities should continue to offer testing for employees in accordance with recommendations from CDPH, and have the ability to ramp up testing at their worksite, in the event of outbreaks or if it is required again at a future date.
Updates timing of required booster doses consistent with current CDC recommendations
In summary:
School Workers, teachers, staff and volunteers, will no longer be required to vaccinate or test for COVID-19.
Healthcare workers are still required to be vaccinated and boosted for COVID-19, unless they have a religious or medical exemption. But will no longer need to test.
