Dr. Joseph Ladapo, Florida Surgeon General, spoke of the disconnect with reality, science, and truth that can happen. He shared about his experiences in Florida working with Governor Ron DeSantis and how important it is to transcend fear. Dr. Ladapo reminded the audience that what seem to be ‘credible and trustworthy’ sources must be cross checked. He said “Look for consistency in truth and principle and that will help you discern the information you come across.” He engaged the audience during a great question and answer time where he discussed his recommendation against 18–39-year-old men receiving the COVID vaccine.
